As part of Truth about Youth at the Royal Exchange Theatre (funded
by the Co-operative Foundation) we are running THE FUTUREWORLDS PROJECT in The
Studio in November. This four day installation and exhibition will include live
art, theatre, 2D exhibitions, short plays, manifestos, soundscapes and film,
all created by young people working with artists and teachers. It explores
young people’s visions of a future world and the place of youth in it. Taking
the year 2020 as a starting point, young people are exploring their ideas
around where will our society be in terms of its politics, the environment,
education, media and technology and its attitudes to age, youth and community.
What is your manifesto for the future?
· What do young
people want?
· What do adults
need to do NOW to ensure a good society for the youth of today and tomorrow?
· How can we change
the world?
· What do you
dream, demand, hope, fear for young people in the future?
· What are your
guidelines for a better future world?
· What is your
blueprint for a future world?
