Blog site

 http://www.1000manifestos.com/list

although it seems that it has been dormant since 2011,it does have 150+  posted manifestos, some of which you  may find enlightening, inspiring, fun and/or thoughtful.

Here's a favourite of mine from this site and a nice counterpoint to the typographic, blocky manifestos  (love them, but there are  other ways): This is the/a  'quilters manifesto'.I  like the doodle look and  brash clashy colours ..all seem to be appropriate and to fit with the  sentiments.

The Maker Manifesto

Very clean look with elegant graphic simplicity (and for a good cause)

Marina Abramović: An Artist's Life Manifesto | MOCA Gala 2011

quite left field and I find it great and cringey in equal measure - a west coast mash up with a brilliantly interesting  performance artist.......has something about it.

The Project

As part of Truth about Youth at the Royal Exchange Theatre (funded by the Co-operative Foundation) we are running THE FUTUREWORLDS PROJECT in The Studio in November. This four day installation and exhibition will include live art, theatre, 2D exhibitions, short plays, manifestos, soundscapes and film, all created by young people working with artists and teachers. It explores young people’s visions of a future world and the place of youth in it. Taking the year 2020 as a starting point, young people are exploring their ideas around where will our society be in terms of its politics, the environment, education, media and technology and its attitudes to age, youth and community.

What is your manifesto for the future?
·         What do young people want?
·         What do adults need to do NOW to ensure a good society for the youth of today     and tomorrow?
·         How can we change the world?
·         What do you dream, demand, hope, fear for young people in the future?
·         What are your guidelines for a better future world?
·         What is your blueprint for a future world?
